It’s Gwennie’s birthday and we just released two songs! Here is the backstory behind them: On Christmas Day in 2017 we released the single “Today I Started Loving You Again” on bandcamp. We were saving the B-side in hopes of putting out a 7-inch. The first song, “Today I Started Loving You Again” is a Merle Haggard cover inspired by Wanda Jackson’s rendition of the tune. Lucy sings lead vocals. The second song is “I Just Don’t Understand” (first sung by Ann-Margret in 1961). Gwennie takes the lead on vocals. “

Taking these songs to the studio was an exciting project as well as a challenge. Both songs were extremely fun to play on guitar. By the end of the session my hands were covered in bandaids but I had the biggest smile on my face! We had just started to expand our vocals around that time and I wouldn’t be where I am at today vocally if we hadn’t started experimenting more in this direction” - Gwennie
